What is an FACP anyway?

Many larger commercial buildings have fire alarm control panels, either near the front desk in some sort of low-voltage closet or mechanical room.

The FACP is designed to control the building's alarm set during an emergency event. They are designed to be tested regularly, per the local authorities.
